Last post 27 May 2010..... We haven't post anything yet since then... ummpphh...Tonight is 15 October 2010... 6 month no post... Since then, I feel our AY dying since Yong Yong go to India... Apa happen...

MANGO SAGU 23/5/2010 :D

On the 23rd of May 2010 (SUN), Tawau Adventist Youths… again…!….. Gather together creating another new memory. This time, our place was somewhere around fajar… (if I’m not mistaken) haha…. We called it….”THE MANGO SAGO”… well… this all because it’s their famous dish. emm… kinda sorry for them…we can only remember the food… haha… ok… let’s start with the people involved… we have Yong2, Gev, Abib, Kdek, I mee, Jingwen, Synru (me), Lin-lin, Richie, Chun vun, Bernt2 and Melvin… the total is 12 persons… and this plan was organized by Gev… a “VERY clever” person..==’’…! hmm*… and our goal was eating mango sago together… -in nice words: it is a time we fellowships and strengthens our bond with each other…
Our place and time of met was at Sabah Chicken Rice Shop at 12 noon… where everyone is preparing for their lunch… we can see this through the glasses of the shop… it’s all full with people…. Huew~… Gev came the same time like us…Actually his car just right in front of us during the journey to there…haha… what a coincidence^^.. but once we reach there… ==’’(ssweat)… Richie, the only person we saw standing there… where the heck are the others??”!!! I thought I’m the one who is late…=_=!!!…. Hmm… ok... What do I expect~ like some saying “we deal at 9am, they come at 10am” our people seldom be on time… of cuz.. me too~ haha~ nothing to surprise actually… (but it’s a bad habit: change! Change!>o<) after waiting for another 5 minutes, the Samson family is here… followed by the Lee family… haha... ok, done with the family thingy… we go first, then the rest will go by themselves to the “MANGO SAGO”…
Walking…..walking….. Walking…. And talking….talking… and talking….. finally… here we are~ the place… haha… named “INDO CAFÉ” the mango sago shop~ kinda small but…..hohoho!!! Is crowded with people….. Looks like they have a very good business going on here…. It is my first time to eat here… should be excited!! Haha…!!! AAaiiiya!!>..< no place for us to sit….. 12 persons… it’s quite a big number… but… how? Our deal is the mango sago… should we say goodbye and moved to another stall near there… or should we wait for a while…
We choose to wait… well, stick with the plan~^^… a table is clear… ladies first…. So, the girls were allowed to have their sits… after that… the boys get another table at the very end there…. “Fellowships….bonding…..” hah!! I don’t think so==’’… we having our own… they have theirs… we spent our time together........ SEPARATELY….ToT… (Swt).’’
Mango Sago is here!!!..... I got the first one~ …………..wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The ice was soft plus mango is my favorite~^^….. u really should try it…..besides, I taste the “pisang goreng” and cheese too… the banana was very crispy and nice~ … is just the cheese. I don’t like the it~

Ok…flash back~ Remember the deal???!! Only mango sago is free~ NO MAIN DISHES RIGHT?????!!!!!!!!!!! But then………………………………….………………………………………………………………………………………………….
Everyone was having their brunch~ combination of breakfast and lunch… paying time??!!! Eeehhhheeemmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! U should see the order notes… but... never mine… once a while, It’s still worth if everyone able to gain just a single taste of happiness, right?^^ I’m sure they did have a great time together… chatting~ and ofcuz Eating~ ^^P……

Halo, lama tak jumpa. Jom crita pasal AY 8/5/2010!

Hi! wah, sudah lama blog ini tak di"update"kan... sori la, baru habis exam je ni... Saudara dan saudari skalian apa khabar? Sakarang dah dekat cuti skolah ni, jadi exam pertengahan tahun pun mesti telah tiba. Harap semua dapat belajar dengan bersungguh2 dan mendapat keputusan yang memuaskan.

Ok, tanggal 8/5/2010 ialah hari Sabtu. hari Sabtu tersebut telah kami adakan program AY. Program AY itu pula dibawa oleh Elder Genevieve. Oleh sebab telah berminggu2 tiada AY, AY pada hari ini telah membuat semua terasa sangat gembira. Permainan yg dibawakan ini mmg kreatif, selain dapat berseronok dan mencungkil bakat pemuda2 AY, ia dapat juga tolong mengumpul duit ke dalam tabung AY kami. hahahaha....

Seorang akan memasukkan duit(mengikut kesukarelaan hati anda) ke dalam satu tabung yang telah disediakan. Lalu orang itu berhak memanggil seorang untuk ke depan dan mempersembahkan bakatnya mengikut arahan orang yg memasukkan duit itu. Jadi, tiap orang akan dipanggil mengikut urutan. Ada yg mengeluarkan duit syling yang banyak supaya dapat memanggil orang banyak kali. Macam2 yang dipersembahkan di depan, ada yg menyanyi sambil buat eksen, menyanyi sambil bermain piano atau gitar, bermain alat2 muzik dan sebagainya.

Pemuda2 AY di gereja Tawau memang berbakat, ternyata Tuhan telah memberikan talenta menyanyi dan bermain muzik di dalam kalangan anggota belia AY. Seperti perumpamaan Yesus, orang yg tidak menggunakan talentanya akan diambil dan diberikan kepada orang lain. Jadi harap semua akan memanfaatkan talenta kami dalam pekerjaan Tuhan, agar kita mendapat kepercayaan Tuhan dan mendapat berkat-Nya. Marilah kita berdoa, agar Tuahn akan memberikan lebih banyak berkat dan talenta, agar kita dapat menggunakan mereka di dalam pekerjaan-Nya, untuk meyebarkan khabar baik kedatangan ke-2 kali Yesus.

An Idle Sabbath.

Last week I stayed at church while my parents and brother went home to rest. I stayed to join the AY program and to spend time with my dear friends of youth, since we only meet once per week. For a moment, I wondered why our youth members in church are becoming less and less weekly. The quantity of members who joins AY alters and varies greatly. I hope we can figure this out in our next meeting. Maybe it is because of sickness or school classes...

I need to wait until 3:00pm for AY, because there is no choir practice at 1:00pm. Since our choir presented in Andrasi Church, out choir had rested until now. I think it has been few weeks. Kak Janet, I can't wait to sing the next song!!! I hope we will sing and practice again this week. I can see interests and passions in this choir have slowly dimmed. We need to fire up boys and girls! Though our singing is not very good, and we do not have a grade 8 or higher qualified pianist, but we must not be discouraged. Let us put our effort together in this choir, we will improve gradually and will finally reach our goal.

"Ok, it is 3:00pm already, time for AY to start." but........ Sadly! No AY this week. Because only less than 8 of us are there, so we just canceled it. It has already been a few week without AY because of some event. I am really scare that our youth are getting lazy and ignorant of this AY program. I fear that our newly revived AY will die just like that.

I am being plain and simple here. I urge that all Tawau Adventist Youth members to think again our first ambition that is to have a healthy and active youth. We are the example to the younger generation, let us teach and instruct them by our actions and deportment. I can say, the future of Tawau SDA church's youth will radically depend on what we do now. Let us not forget, neither weary or feel tired. The Lord longs to renew and strengthen us, and He will, only if we ask them fervently.

Remember to pray for our AY. Also pray specially for those who are sick and those who have Sabbath problems that prevent them to come. See you next AY, next Sabbath :P

AY program (27/3/2010)

Hi again guys and girls~~! Hope everyone is in the best of health. Nowadays the weather is warmer than usual, please drink more water k? Good. Ok, let us proceed to the activities last Saturday. If you were not there, then you may have missed a good and fun time, which you must be regretting now.. haha.. hehehe... hoho.. huhuhuhu.... hihihihiasdfkjldfgh...cough...ahem*

We started our choir practice a little bit late, like about 10 minutes. So, 1:00pm+ 10minutes=1:15pm. Correct. True. Right. huh????? The choir director, Sis Janet Badiango had "fined" some of those people who were late. If I don't have mild Alzheimer's, I remember they are Jessica and Aaron, got fined RM1000000000000. Opps! I forgot to add a "." after 1. Figure it up yourself. thanks. And I have some good news here, the Youth Choir is going to present our first choir song this year during this Sabbath. So fans, don't miss this opportunity! Bring along your 16.7MP camera or HD video cam. hahaha..... Not funny right? nvm. But we seriously going to sing this Sabbath. Hope everyone can be encouraged and may this song pleases God. Pray for us that the angels will sings with us.

After the choir practice, the girls took a camera and started taking pictures of themselves, smiling and posing.... and then laughing.... which boys could not understand what's so funny???.... As for us, the boys, we spend time lying down on a comfortable mattress on our beautiful green field, enjoying the music of nature. Cool right? haha.... ok, it is even too comfortable until one of us felt asleep there.

Okay, time to talk about the AY programme. Last week coordinators were Ellen May and Voo I Mee. They shared a good lesson which was accompanied with a Bible text. it is good if we can share a short lesson every week before we start our AY games. They divided us into 4 groups, we had about 5 persons per group. Last week, our coordinators had prepared 3 exciting, interesting, profiting, consecutive games that went right after another. That's why I said you may lose a good time.

For the 1st game, they tested our Bible searching speed. We need to search up a certain book, chapters, verse, word, letter then think of a Bible character whose name is started with the letter we'd found.

Next we play puzzle. This is simple yet entertaining.

Lastly, they gave us a quiz which require us to state the 10 disasters that happened to the Egyptian during Israel's deliverance and to write down the books in the old testament orderly.

And finally, we recorded all that we did by pasting them on a piece of manila card. My team had present them in a very creative way. Everyone is happy. This is a sweet ending :)

So how was it? Pretty nice ya? hehe, guess so. We finished at 5:30pm and continued to Sundown worship right away. That is all I want to share, may God bless everyone! -yong yong

Announcement: Youth choir rehearsal time-2:00pm-3:30pm(amended)

Last week the Tawau Adventist Youth has gathered for a meeting in the church library. The meeting started at 2:00pm. We had discussed several topic. For example: revising AY program, youth choir, AY T-shirt(cool!), about this blog...etc. By the way, we have a new Facebook fan site, so please come and join Adventist Youth Tawau, if you have a Facebook account, if not... It is a good suggestion to make one now. :)

As one sincere member of the youth choir, there is one thing I want to express here, it is to stress the importance of attitude and discipline. Why do we need a youth choir? Youth choir is a lot related to music ministry, in fact it is one of it. Music is essential in worship and spreading the good news. Statistic of the church shows that a big part of visitors came to church and become a baptized member is through music ministry. Everyone likes music! Hence, youth choir can be an attraction to people. Besides that, we praise God by our voice and also will encourage and lift up anybody who listens. Plus, in a choir, you can learn how to sing and to use a correct tone. It can be a free-of-charge music lesson.

But however, sad to say, that our church youths seems to have a reckless and ignorance attitude to the choir. We arrived late for the choir, we chit-chat and talk to each other while we practice and don't have an appropriate respect to the choir director. Since when we became like this my fellow brothers and sisters? When can we truly behave ourselves? Look at other churches youth choirs, they can sing really good, we envy them and want to have a choir like that but we didn't put effort in it. We practiced a song for months and it still stays the same song after months because we are still not familiar with it. And since our choir was established from the beginning of 2010 until now, we are not even prepared to present a song yet! What is the function of our choir?

Remember the first meeting? We were so on fire to be better! We decided to have an active AY and choir for the good of youth and God.... But where is the spirit? Let us not be forgetful, that we, Tawau Adventist Youth never speak in vain, we keep our promises to men and to God. Now the choir rehearsal time has been changed to Saturday afternoon 2:00pm-3:30pm for our convenience, let us be serious, we have to get rid of our immature playful attitude, at least when we are in a choir. And let us "be an example to the younger ones, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."(1Tim4:12) We are proud of ourselves, for we are active, discipline, happy and pleasing Seventh-day Adventist Youth.

If there are anyone who have the interest or willing to sing for the Lord, or maybe you like music and is so kind to join us in this choir, we embrace you with our warmest welcome. Seriously, our choir is lack of people, we do need more singers! All youth, boys or girls, 2:00pm-3:30pm in the Kuhara Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Tawau. May God bless our youth choir! Sunday 1 day BLAST!

Ahaha... bila teringat aktiviti "for boys only" minggu lalu, mmg masih terasa keseronokkannya... begitu, Yong2, Melvin, Geverol, Elmarkane, Richie, LangLang, kami 6 orang Laksamana Selat Melaka... eh, sry... patutnya Laksamana Sungai Sebelah Gereja SDA Tawau telah adakan "perhimpunan" pada Sabtu malam lalu. Kalau nak tahu sejarah, Laksamana Selat Melaka terdiri daripada 5 orang pewira, iaitu Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat, Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekir, Hang Lekiu. Manakala Laksamana Sungai Sebeleh Gereja SDA Tawau terdiri daripada (5+1) budak, iaitu: Melvin -Hang Tua, sebab dia yg paling tua antara kami. LangLang- Hang Jepun krn perutnya mcm perut org Jepun, (main2 jak bah), Richie- Hang Permaisuri sbb dia sja yang ada the "Queen of my Heart" di sini. Elel- Hang Fikir sbb asyik fikir queen-nya di tempat jauh. Geverol- Hang ThankYou sbb kami berterima kasih kerana dibenarkan tinggal di sbelah rumahnya. Yong2 pula- Hang Siapa? sbb terlebih satu.

ehem.. sya lambat sampai atas sbb hal2 makan. 5 org yang lain berada di gereja terlebih dahulu. Mereka telah bertarung sesama sendiri selama berjam2, bukan dengan taming sari tetapi dengan bet pingpong. Hang Permaisuri yang sangat murah hati telah membeli makanan untuk smua. Bila sya sampai, kami baru masuk ke dlm "kem" kami. Selepas itu, terjadilah pertarungan yang lagi hebat, bukan dengan pedang atau pistol, tetapi dengan joystick PS2. Terkeluarlah pelbagai teknik spt betis lidi, betis padi, betis elektrik, lengan b'skill dn sebagainya. Namun, hanya satu yang ketinggalan dlm battle ni sbb tidur...

Pagi tu Richie yg paling awal bangun sbb dia yg paling awal terlelah. Thank you Pr Earie, Kak Linda, Richie yg telah menolong kami tuk membeli sarapan nasi lemak. Enakkkkkkkkkkkk.... tp pedas skit la. haha. Kami bermain bola keranjang, ada yg memancing, ada juga yg sambung tidur. Mcm2 ada...

2.00pm! Youth Choir!! kami tunggu2, ttp org yang datang tak ramai. haih... mana semangat smua orang ni? seingat sya, bila ditanya hari tu, smua setuju penubuhan koir dengan girang. Harap2 smua org bleh ubah2 skit, ikut koir bagus2, bru boleh buat trip ke gereja2 lain. haha, tapi ingat tujuan utama adalah untuk memuji Tuhan dan membawa orang lain lebih dekat kpd Tuhan.

Pada malam Ahad lalu, acara potluck telah diadakan untuk menyambut pendeta baru bagi menggantikan Pr Wizie yg baru bernikah di gereja Andrassi. Makanan dan minuman yang sangat menyelerakan telah disediakan di atas meja. Puji Tuhan dan terima kasih atas aktiviti satu hari ini. Bagus juga kalau ada "stay over" begini sekali sekala...

OK.. hari ni saya ingin menceritakan tentang acara kami mggu lalu.. Coordinator AY kami minggu lalu ialah Chong Jung Syn@ Yong Yong.. di mana kami semua terpaksa memilih lagu untuk di nyanyi kan.. Ada diantara kami cuba untuk escape dri menyanyi kan lagu di hadapan.. tetapi akhirnya ..... tersebut pergilah memilih lagu untuk di nyanyikan..

Tetapi sapa saja yg salah atau tak ingat lirik lagu tersebut eRm..eRm.. jadilah manusia 'mic stand'.. Apa pengajaran yg kami dpt dri game tersebut ialah.. tpi kalo ada yg salah tolong betulkan saya.. Kami menyanyi lagu itu adalah sebab untuk meningati Lagu TUHAN atau pun selalu menyanyi lagu TUHAN..(P/s: Apabila kita menyanyi lagu-lagu pujian, kita patut menghayati lirik lagu tersebut juga, bukan hanya muziknya-yy)

Barbeque!!!!!!!!!!

First of all,sya mo ckp sori kalo lambat keluar post ni........i have no time......hehehehh......well anyway,our plan which was barbequeing on sunday 21/02/2010 was going quite well.....walaupun kekurangan kunyit ngan limau......wakakaakakakak......



Penganjur nya ialah c Elmarkane.....dia blang kalo mo ikut RM10 seorang......kami bayar ngan dia masa habis sundown....and then BBQ start jam 2 petang dia blang......

apa kami buat hari tu....well....begini ceritanya....kami hari tu BBQ sosej,ayam ngan ikan.......c el2 ngan richie yg beli tu makanan nya......dorang dua sampai jak tus kami pun cuci la segala makanan mentah sblum ia d BBQ.......ehhehehehe....Saya,kak N.G and Olel la yg cuci tu makanan mantah tu......

Lepas kami cuci,kami bwa tu makanan pi pondok.......d situ suda tersedia tempat BBQ.......so abg Melvin kasi sedia api......kami yg lain duduk2,ada yg jln2 mcm teeedaa tempat duduk,ada yg main bola keranjang,ada lg paling hebat dan paling rajin.........abg edboy.......ehhehehehehee.......rajin betul.....jan marah sya.....sya bkan mo mengolok tpi sya rsa kagum apa yg abg buat tu.....blajar.....

and then,sya,kak N.G,kak Jing Wen dan Olel pigi luar mo beli pisang goreng.......Adui!!!!!pnat nya kami menunggu.....lpas tu panas lg.......haish!!!!!tpi nasib kami blik dngan selamat la.........msa kami blik p cec....sya nmpak dorang start uda panggang ayam........hampir dua piring uda dorang panggang........ui......sdapnya......kami semua ni.....blum start mkn suda semua nya concang mkn......hahahahaahahahah......

Wheel of Fortune???

Hiya fellows. Welcome again to our blog. Personally, I feel glad because our AY seems to become more active. For example, Sabbath afternoon AY program and youth choir revived, boys has their football club, pathfinder club, this blog... and of course more BBQs held on Sunday evening. Fellowship is always good, without it, youth will not be close, and if our bonds are loose, there will be no unity. No unity, youth will be driven away, and slowly leads to the destruction of a church. For church is people, not merely building.

Well, ok, that's enough. Hehe, let's proceed to this week AY program. Melvin supposed to be the coordinator, but don't know how... he managed to drag two beautiful ladies- Valenjane and Jessica to work for him. Looks like we have a future big boss. hehe... Good leader should be like that, knowing how to use people, distributing responsibility. Melvin, congrats... indeed you are.. eh... erm.... ehem.... lazy. sniff*

You saw it in the title. We were playing the Wheel of Fortune!!! but parents please calm down, no money are involved xD (not enough budget due to low pocket money >.< -joking)
Ok, let's make it easy. As usual, we were divided into 2 teams. Each team was required to spin the wheel by taking turns. The outcome is judged by the arrow of the wheel(see below). Here is the steps how we should play this game.

1. First, after you sat at a correct team side, act cool to give the opponent a great distress.


2. Opps! they heartlessly ignored your strategy, then it's time to show forth the scary face... ooo yea... This will work.


3. Then of course... spin the wheel. But do it with style.. legs open wide, bents your body and Go!


4. Observe the wheel until it stops. And darling, open your eyes as big as possible, make sure you don't blink, give a fierce look to the wheel as if it will follows your command :P LoL


5. Follow the instruction of coordinators. Answer the objective, solve the subjective, fill in the bonus quiz blanks, then get marks. Be careful of negative marks sectors of the wheel.


6. Yes, you got free marks! Or either, woohoo! You answered correctly! Thank God. Now you can easily pose a happy face to stress out your opponent.


7. If you were the opponent, you can either freak out. Like this:


8. Or stay cool outside, pretending to be ignorance. Example:



Hahahaha. That is how this game were conducted. Is it? :P
For anyone of you who are from other church, feel free to try this out during your AY. The result:
a) Everyone were in excitation state. (P/s: our youth need serious understanding about reverence in church. Seriously.)
b) We learned some Bible knowledge.
c) Most of the spins made were -5 marks.
d) All were amused.

This week game is pretty cool. But I'm still looking forward for some more biblical game. How about you guys? K, have a good week. -edboy

My Chinese New Year's Reunion Dinner

I am sooooooo happy to be at home during Chinese New Year, since the 2 years I celebrated it somewhere else, which i forgot where. Nvm, forget it, the point is, it feels so good to be home during CNY. Maybe it's because CNY is a time for family and home. For me, both must be together, to have the best environment of CNY. I had my CNY's reunion dinner in my uncle Chong Sui Siong's house. (For your info, family members gather for a reunion dinner on CNY's eve. ) We had a potluck there, and all families of my paternal uncles went too. It started at around 7:30pm. However, we went early, the outer reason(for me)is to go and help out, to see if they need any assistance for the preparation of the dinner. Well, the inner reason to be early is... ahem ahem..(cough)... don't want to miss the food instead if they started earlier xD

The dinner is like a party for me. This year reunion dinner is all about delicious cuisine, chit-chat, interesting tv programs and 3 hours of NON-STOP FIREWORKS!!! I break the Vegetarian laws of consumption, like i'd decided to do every year during CNY :P and ate those fresh and juicy venison, imagine.... yums* After uncountable rounds of food, everyone of us reached our maximum capacity. urgghh.... Then we divided into 3 groups, i would call it "The Men round table topic", "The Ladies mass chit-chat", and finally "The relaxing Cool Guys". Obviously, a cool guy like joins the 3rd group. huh?!!(saw people vomits infront of their computer screen and wonder) Ok, nvm... yeah, and our 3rd group members include me, bro Jimmy and Uncle Ah Sang. not to forget Koko who joined us after that he was bored with the 1st group. We do activity so cooooool like just sitting on the sofas and watch TV. And about the fireworks, beautiful and flamboyant. 3 places are firing these fireworks for us. I think what they do is charity, the mata-mata should not arrest these Philanthropists, who bring happiness to all who see. Am I kidding? You judge. One of the "firework good guy" happened to be the neighbour's house. Even some of the firecrackers paper flew into our rice plate... zzzzzz

We dismiss at 10pm. CNY's Reunion is about spending time with family members, and is one of the rare chances where cousins and relatives can gather together. I really like Chinese New Year, I hope everyone have a nice one too! Happy AngPow Attack! -yong yong

setelah sekian lama belia dan beliawanis dari gereja Tawau ingin membuat laman blog, akhirnya pada tahun 2010 kami semua telah membuat satu kata sepakat untuk memulakan penulisan blog kami. kalau tiada yang memulakan, tentu sampai bila-bila angan-angan untuk membuat blog TETAP tinggal angan-angan..
apa yang saya nak ceritakan di sini, adalah tentang pengalaman saya sepanjang saya menjadi KETUA ADVENTIST YOUTH TAWAU..

Mungkin banyak di antara rakan-rakan belia tidak tahu sejak bila saya menjadi KETUA AY bagi gereja SDA TAWAU ye?? agak-agak ?? Saya telah di pilih sebagai ketua AY pada tahun 2007 menggantikan Saudara Alex Fandrianus yang merupakan ketua AY pada tahun sebelumnya..
Saya tidak tahu samada saya boleh memikul satu tanggungjawab untuk bersama-sama dengan sekelompok belia yang di sekitarnya berusia lebih muda dari saya. Pada waktu itu, saya juga sebagai guru SEKOLAH SABAT BELIA merasakan bahawa bersama mereka sudah cukup mencabar kesabaran saya untuk melayan kerenah aneh mereka.. hahahaha.. inikan pula menjadi ketua mereka ??? oh no !!! saya hampir tidak mahu terima. Tetapi saya percaya, bukan sahaja ahli komiti gereja yang menaruh kepercayaan kepada saya, tetapi saya tahu Tuhan pasti akan berdukacita jika saya tidak mahu memikul tanggungjawab itu.

Kenangan yang amat indah sekali sepanjang tahun pertama saya menjadi KETUA AY TAWAU, saya telah organized satu acara yang julung-julung kalinya yang di adakan di GEREJA SDA TAWAU iaitu "CULTURAL NITE " . Acara ini adalah acara yang benar-benar mencabar ketahanan fizikal dan mental saya. Pada malam itu kami akan mempersembahkan empat jenis tarian, antaranya SAN DE GU NIANG ( TARIAN CINA ), KURATSA ( TARIAN FILIPINO dari kanak-kanak), ITIK-ITIK ( TARIAN FILIPINO dari IBU-IBU ), SUMAZAU ( TARIAN KADAZAN ), FASHION SHOW, NYAYIAN LAGU-LAGU TRADITIONAL.. dan banyak lagi, MASTER OF CEREMONY ( MC ) pada malam itu iaitu saya ( GENEVIEVE RAVECHE ) dan SAUDARI VOO MOI MEE.
Programe inilah yang pertama yang kami organized di bawah pimpinan saya. Biarpun pelbagai jenis cabaran dan dugaan yang kami hadapi tetapi Puji Tuhan acara kami yang berlangsung pada 23.12.2007 berjalan dengan baik dan jayanya. walaupun saya letih dari segi fizikal dan mental, tetapi semua itu amat berbaloi sekali dengan semangat dan kerjasama semua orang yang terlibat pada malam itu. bukan senang untuk mengajar menari untuk tiga kumpulan penati yang corak tariannya berbeza, mengajar kanak-kanak menari, saya menjadi salah seorang penari ( tarian cina la... ).. hahaha.. tapi syok la jgak.. ADA YANG MAU GANTI TEMPAT SAYA KAH KALAU KITA ANJURKAN LAGI PADA TAHUN 2010 ????? hahahahaha
Saya terus menjadi KETUA AY TAWAU dari tahun itu sampai lah pada hari ini. Pada tahun ini Pastor Earie telah membuat satu pembaharuan dalam carta organisasi gereja, di mana setiap pelayan akan di beri gelaran ELDER ( walaupun belum di tauliahkan ), dan saya mendapat gelaran itu ..hehehehe.... saya menjadi elder untuk PELAYANAN BELIA.. seram sejuk jugak bila dapat gelaran tu.. (@@). ini menunjukkan bahawa saya perlu meningkatkan lagi mutu belia di gereja SDA Tawau khasnya,dan gelaran ini bukanlah satu gelaran yang boleh di buat main-main, dan ini merupakan salah satu cabaran saya di dalam tahun 2010.
setelah hampir tiga tahun memimpin belia dan beliawanis di Gereja ini, saya dapat rasakan yang perhubungan antara saya dengan mereka semakin rapat, dan saya menganggap mereka semua seperti adik saya sendiri.
Apa yang pasti pada tahun 2010 ini, sama-samalah kita semua membangkitkan lagi semangat kita sebagai PEJUANG MUDA TUHAN... dan saya memang mengharapkan kerjasama dari semua belia dan beliawanis.
Jika ada sesiapa yang mempunyai sebarang cadangan atau idea untuk sebarang programe boleh berjumpa terus dengan saya ( jumpa di church la ).. SMS ka??? atau mesej di Facebook... ok ??
kalau saya tiada ( pergi bercuti ka ,) hahaha manatau... kan??? boleh la berjumpa dengan penolong kanan saya iaitu SAUDARA ELMARKANE,

Hey guys. Two of our youth have been chosen to be our blog mods(moderators). Everyone please welcome Bernt Elton Samson and Rochelle Lo. Now, they will be the ones to manage and update this blog. If you have any inquiries or questions, you can always refer to our friendly mods. However, I want to make a distinct statement which is "This blog belongs to everybody". Everybody includes all Tawau Adventist Youth Members. I received news that somebody thought only mods can post a blog, but the good news is.. You Are Wrong! Everyone can post a blog here :D Just send an email along with your pics or videos to us(aytawau@gmail.com). What are we doing last week? xD

This week AY was great. We started at 2:30pm. At first, i wonder why they start so early.... it's almost an hour early and I am a punctual guy, doesn't like to be late... neither early. lol, i'm joking. Seriously. However, we started like normal... recently our youths have fall in love with some action songs they learn in a previous Pathfinder Fair. Since we love those songs so much, we sing them every weeks, and we'll keep singing until... I don't know o.O

This week I wonder why there is no spiritual sharing first, guess I'll talk about this next time with the committee. But they started it right away with games. Our coordinator is Jing Wen, assisted by I Mee, I saw them preparing these games just on that Sabbath afternoon itself. I didn't know it turn out to be much fun than I have expected. We played 2 games. I like the first one more :) It is actually a good old game we always played in our AY few years ago. Basically, the 1st game challenges teamwork, searching bible text speed and your spiritual songs knowledge. Well, a person like me, whose brain is slow to think of songs cannot even battle with those youngster like Lang Lang, who has a wealth of songs in his head. Christian songs can be very useful, sing it when you're down, when you're sad, when you're happy. Remember to keep a song in your heart. A lot of funny things happened here, Elmarkane's mistake is one to remember. He got the wrong verse and got up angry when Jing Wen announced the correct one, then he brought his Bible, along with his confidence inside him, cat walk to the front and showed his verse. And who knows he mistaken, maybe because Jing Wen spelled "Hazekiel" and he thought it is "Hakim-Hakim"(in Malay since we were using Indonesian KJV Bible), then we walked back to his seat, pusillanimously, dishonour xP. And maybe Jing Wen and I Mee didn't explain the rule of the game clear enough since Aaron sang "You are not alone" by Michael Jackson when he got a "y" to think of a christian song.


2nd game is a guessing game. It was easy, everyone got it right. In this game, we can know how people know us as we are. These are some "labels" we got for ourselves by other people: Yong Yong-botak, Geverol-kuat, Genevieve-yg besar punya, Elmarkane-boroi, Aaron- gemuk, etc. When I come to think of it, why most of us don't have our attitude as our symbol rather than physical appearance. For example, Genevieve-talented, Elmarkane-friendly, Aaron-kind.... This is a thought all Christian should think about deeply. However, I still can't forget the expression of Elmarkane when he found out Jessica thinks he is "boroi".. hahahahhaha -edboy

Tentang kem motivasi kitaorang

Sry arrh... lmbt ltk new post ni... tpi apa apa pun ni lah.. post yg terbaik lah.. hehehe..... ok... bercakap tentang kem motivasi kami ni.. sebenarnya telah pun habis jd di sini pakcik kobon ingin menceritakan... kisah tersebut... Alkisah... Kami dtg pada hri jumaat malam untuk penyertaan peserta ataupun parcitipants( btul ka ejaan ku ni.. hntam aja la..) jd selepas tu.. kmi tonton video yg bertajuk 'What Come May' dimana video ini telah mengajar kami bnyak perkara...( lupa la apa yg kami telah pelajari dri tu video ).. Lelaki ini yg bernama Caleb serta seorang gadis yg disukai nya... walaupun Caleb di reject sebanyak 3 kali.. tetapi.. Caleb tdk berputus asa.... akhirnya C Gadis pun jatuh cnta dengannya... Tetapi sebelum perkara itu bermula Caleb terpaksa membuat perkara yg benar di mahkamah iaitu Caleb sendiri melawan dengan ibu nya tentang perguguran bayi... Di situ Caleb kalah.. dan ibunya menangis.. serta memberikan yuran tuisyen selama 3 tahun.... Cerita ini bru hri jumaat mlm...

Cerita ini pula mengisah kan pula pada hri Sabtu... Kami bgn seperti biasa.. gosok gigi.. dan sebagainya...selepas itu kmi sarapan... selepas kami bersiap kami pun masuk lah kedalam gereja untuk mendengar khutbah... selepas khutbah itu.. pada sebelah petangnya pula.. kami tonton video tentang 'Facing The Giants' di mana pada akhir cerita itu ramai kawan saya menangis.. Jadi tiba la pulak... Waktu malam.. di mana kami di beri taklimat kerjaya seperti Doktor,Nurse,Guru... kami sdg berbincang ttg kerjaya tiba tiba.. kami di baukan dgn bau yg sngat harum sekali.. iaitu kentut.. waduh enak sekali ya...tapi takpa kami truskan sahaja program kami.. Selepas taklimat kerjaya itu tamat maka kami terpaksa bersedia dgn cabaran yg bermula dri jam 11 mam hingga jam 3 .15 subuh.. kami disuruh memasangkan khemah dan letak jauh2.. dan kami disuruh berbaris.. dan kami disuruh masuk dlm khemah dan kami terpaksa tggal dlm khemah selama 1 jam.. ttpi pada saat akhirnya... masa kami di pendekkan selama 15 minit sahaja kerana masa tdk mengizin kan...selepas tamat semuanya... apa lagi... its our game time.. di mana semua org sudah pun tdur dan tggal lelaki lagi sahaja yg belum tdr... oleh kerana kami boring apa lagi kami men game 'Facing the Giants' la di mana peraturan nya... sesiapa sahaja ketawa akan di gerodok atau pun di hantam atau pun di tindis... tetapi apa bila abang saya berdiri kerana dia ketawa apa lgi gerodok dia la... sekali weina tok... membalas mcm facing the giant sbb di antara kami semua dia la plng besar... kami hbis men facing the giant pada pukul 5 subuh... Tamat la cerita 'Facing the Giants versi remaja'

Pada Ahad pgi pula... kmi semua lmbt bgn dan acara yg plg kami suka ialah obstacle course.. tetapi acara itu di tiadakan kerana kami semua lmbt bgn... dan selepas itu kmi pun bermain ping pong..

AY KEDUA 2O1O...

Pertama skali,sya mo ucapkan trima kasih kepada TUHAN kerana ay kami pda tahun ini berjalan dengan begitu lancar sekali........ia betul2 satu keajaiban yg begitu besar kepada kami kerana sudah sekian lama kami tidak membangun kan ay kami......

Ay kedua kami berjalan dengan begitu lancar......sperti biasa,nyanyi2 lagu,buat action song,sharing games and closing prayer.....coordinator minggu lalu......abg yong2....kali ini kakak NG....dia punya game hebat jugak...pertama kami d suruh untuk menggubah lagu dari Mazmur 27:1-3.......kami pun try la......dorang kumpulan kak abib cipta lagu sendiri....kami guna lagu....apa uda tu...lupa la....adedeh....hehhehe....tapi lagu dorang kak abib siok la......

Lepas kami siap,kami d suruh nyanyi d hadapan......puji Tuhan,lagu2 yg kami nyanyi sangat sesuai untuk d jadi kan lagu choir kami......bagi sya la.....game kedua kami ialah 'teka lagu apa'.......cara main dia begini.....satu orang dari setiap kumpulan membuat 'action' dan kedua2 kumpulan meneka lagu apa yg d action kan.....

c lang2 iatu 'clown' kami hari tu......dia tercabut lagu A,B,C......dia tia pandai sound language.....eh.....sound plak....sign languange...hehehhe.....jdi dia pun tunjuk shape huruf A ngan tangan nya.....wakakakakakak.....lucunya.....

kami rasa sungguh penat kerana ketawa terbahak-bahak tapi gembira sbab hari tu ay berjln dengan lancar, tamatla uda acara ay kami dan sambung sundown........kalo ada salah tulis atau menyakitkan hati kamu suma sya minta maaf banyak......Tuhan tlah membantu kami dlm bulan 1 ini......harap ia akan berkekalan untuk selama2 nya.....MAY GOD BLESS U ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-rochelle

AY pertama 2010

Mmg sangat menyentuhkan hati sya, sehingga air peluh pulak yang tercurah semasa sya dpt lihat ay pertama kami dijalankan. wahahaha.... "flow"nya ttp sama mcm zaman2 dulu. Nyanyi2 dulu, lepas tu sharing, games, closing song. Walaupun ttp sama, mcm ketinggalan zaman sikit, tapi apa yg sya lihat dan rasa tu mmg lain, sya bangga la kerna setiap ahli menyokong dengan penuh.

Program pertama kami ini sya yg disuruh coordinate... biasala, sapa suruh sya juga yg banyak bising. Bak patah pepatah, "siapa paling bising, dia yang buat kerja". Ayat ini tak payahlah ko tanya cikgu sekolah kamu, dorang takkan tahu tu, sbab ayat ini sya cipta sendiri. kekeke.... Pening juga sya bila disuruh coordinate, tak tau nak bawa aktiviti apa. Sya fikir2 dan doa bagi Tuhan, minta idea ngan Dia... sampai hari Jumaat baru sya decide. Sharing Alkitab sya blum sedia, nnt Sabat pagi bila ada inspirasi itu la yg sya share. Bab sya tau orang2 muda kita ini sudah puas baca Bible di rumah, jadi d church tu tak payah la crita panjang2, makan saja yg ringan2 ckp.. hehe.

AY kali ini mula awal pada 2:30pm. tapi oleh sbab masalah "chatnical", 3:00pm baru berkumpul kami semua. Sya telah share ayat Roma 8:28, kaitkan ngan cerita si Yusuf anak Yakub. lepas tu, sya pisahkan mereka kpd 2 kumpulan. Game yang sya bawa begitu: seorang perlu melakonkan sesuatu kata kerja, contohnya memasak, jual, tidur... dan lepas ia tlah diteka, mereka dihendaki tuk mencari nama orang yg melakukan kata kerja itu dengan dibekalkan direktori ayat alkitab. Sya tengok mereka semangat jugak la... tak sia2 juga sya korbankan titih peluh sya tu... ada 7 titih tu... kalo digunakan tuk siram bunga, mmg subur la.

Ini satu scene lakonan bagi kata kerja menyunat, hahahaha... bukan senang mau lakukan tu. Si Rochelle Lo yg menjadi heroin perempuan. Cara dia sunat tu, mcm guna kapak... hahaha. Selain itu, sya ingin mengambil kesempatan ini tuk minta maaf bagi kesalahan sya sbb memasukkan kata kerja yang terlampau spert "memperkosa", tak baik la kalo perbuatan atau lakonan sebegitu dilakukan dlm kaabah Suci Tuhan, sya minta maaf pasal hal itu. Inilah akibat kalo kerja last minit. bak kata pepatah "kalau kerja tak guna kepala, nnt kena hentam kepala"... thx bagi ibubapa sya yg "menghentam" kepala sya dengan kata-kata mereka... nasib tak guna besi atau tukul, kalo tidak mmg sya tak mau pulang rumah tidur, sbab tertidur d sana trus....

Akhirnya, acara AY selesai dengan sempurnanya dibawah bimbingan Tuhan dan Roh Suci-Nya. Kumpulan 2 telah menang dengan mata 21 mendahului kumpulan 1 denagn mata 19. haha, agak sengit juga.. sya mmg tak jangka rupa2nya gereja Tawau ada pelakon2 setaraf Hollywood, ada harapan p sana sudah ni... haha. K la, harap semangat kita tuk buat AY akan terus bernyala, tapi banyak yg perlu diubah lagi supaya kualiti AY akan bertambah. -edboy

AY Tawau Official Logo.. Ideas???

Now we have a blog, next is a logo to symbolize us. Since last week, I have some opinions of what our logo should looks like, Genevieve and Syn Yi gave me a sample of their idea. However, it is very limited to have only two samples. Well, if we want to have an awesome logo, more samples are required. So please don't pretend you don't know anything about art, now is the chance for you to do something for God! Or maybe you are not an artist, just like me, please try to sketch one and pass it to us. For anyone who is not in Tawau, if you have a computer, please do draw one and email it to us. Since logo is also a symbol, try to make it something that can really reflect our AY. I tried to draw Genevieve's sample through my computer (see picture)but it come out to be not exactly what it suppose to be. Nevertheless, at least I had tried. Maybe we will just as a computer designer to help us to "computerize" the drawing once we have select a final logo. The logo can be very simple or complicated. Just use your imagination and creativity. It's quite a fun thing to do too and is of course better than wasting hours of your time watching some meaningless TV programs. All helps will be very appreciated. We're awaiting! -edboy

AY Tawau Blog established!!

Ok, this has been our long hoped thing to do. Finally, our 1st official blog has been made. Since we have this blog, we can share our activities, events, news, etc. Past and future. This blog is belong to all AY members of Tawau Kuhara SDA church. I really hope that this blog can be actively updated, so that everyone can know what is happening. This blog is also meant for those AY members who are studying outside of Tawau to have latest information and news feed of Tawau AY. Thanks God. May He will bless this blog as we use it for AY ministry, to share our joy of knowing Christ, and spread the good news of His second coming. -edboy
